Social Media Promo 1 Facebook/Instagram Ads

CD was promoted with Facebook/Instagram ads

f you have read my first free to all post Music Promotion - What do you need to know these days, then you can see that there is whole "heck" of lot there. I generally try to keep coherence between subjects but I will still jump around as I'm intimately involved in almost all areas. So sometimes I just get on a roll after I myself (who am a self learner) have recently studied YouTube videos on the subject and it is fresh in my mind. I have created over 100 ads for other artists and myself with remarkable success.

Facebook/Instagram Ads

This post will be a starter on how to do Facebook/Instagram Ads to do awareness/traffic/conversion campaigns to get people to see your website, go to a performance, increase streams on a new release on Spotify (we will use generally Spotify but it can be Apple Music, YouTube Music, etc). In each of these posts I will reference LINKS where you can find more detailed info, instructions, on-line class inexpensive classes videos. This is what I did during the pandemic. I researched the many instructional programs out there I then took 3 different programs by 3 different people who I believed had the best programs and the best follow up abilities to continue to learn. I have since then run several hundred ad campaigns for artists and myself with all levels of sucess. Also these people have there own services for doing the work for you if you do not want to get in the "trenches".

Facebook Ad Campaign - To see in depth DIY to do this I recommend - https://blog.hubspot.com/marketing/facebook-paid-ad-checklist - HubSpot Facebook Advertising How To.

To be taught online how to do this I recommend three courses:

Tom Dupree III Facebook Ads For Beginners (also has online academy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGWPIGjnoY4

John Golds - Hypeddit - Courses and also fantastic AI automated system (I use a lot) https://hypeddit.com/

Basic Facebook Ad Structure Overview:

Campaigns. This is the first part of your campaign structure. The campaign gives an objective of your ad. You can choose what you want from your ad: Awareness, Traffic generation, Sales, App promotions, leads, or engagement.

Ad sets. This defines your targeting strategy – the audience to which you want to display your ads. You can have multiple ad sets per campaign and different budgets for each.

Ads. This is the final step in your ad creation. You can create multiple ads per ad set. Try and test with various ad formats and different ad placements.

Steps: Each of these steps have some depth to them but this is meant as an overview. If you want to do this I strongly suggest you take the beforementioned classes or hire one of the referenced people I recommend. NOTE: I do not get anything from these people for the references, I learned a lot from them and it changed my life.
