Illinois Entertainer  “Stunning guitar wizardry, confident vocals, all  around musical  savvy”

Jazz Times - "Not surprisingly, his résumé… would make a great book.  Pasenko’s voice, with hints of Hoagy Carmichael and Mose Allison, graces each tune with intimacy/awareness…"

Greg Pasenko is a vocalist, guitarist, and promoter who has led jazz, blues, funk, and rock bands across the world for more than 40 years — headlining or sharing the stage with an extraordinary range of artists.

On the jazz side, he's performed alongside violinist Diane Delin, Ramsey Lewis, Eddie Jefferson, and Maynard Ferguson. In blues, he's shared stages with Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, and Koko Taylor. In rock, with Chuck Berry, Rush, Mountain, Canned Heat, the James Gang, and Blue Öyster Cult — and he performed in duo with the inimitable Bobby McFerrin.

As a producer, Greg has made records with George Mraz, Ed Thigpen, Frank Wess, and Lew Soloff, as well as jazz violinist Diane Delin, saxophonist Nick Bisesi, The Mike Frost Project, and others.

His industry roots run deep. Greg worked in the publishing department at United Artists Records in Los Angeles during the Blue Note era, while performing at Les DeMerle's LA Cellar club — the home base of Harry James' drummer — with artists like Richie Cole, Eddie Jefferson, and Alex Acuña. He also played the legendary Whisky, the Roxy, and the Troubadour. During those years he led the band for vocalist Steve March-Tormé — son of Mel Tormé — and handled his promotion and booking, and he played for years alongside keyboardist Robby Robinson, Frankie Valli's music director of more than 40 years.

For four years, Greg was a featured artist at the Signature Room Jazz Club on the 95th floor of Chicago's John Hancock Building. His groove-based band has headlined major Chicago events including the Taste of Chicago and Navy Pier's Beer Garden — proof of his ability to move seamlessly between intimate rooms and high-energy stages.

Together with his wife, four-time DownBeat Critics Poll Rising Star violinist Diane Delin, Greg established Club Blujazz in Chicago and helped develop the Skokie Theatre, creating spaces built for authentic musical expression.

As founder of Blujazz Music Artist Promotion, Greg has guided more than 150 artist releases onto international radio charts and into major trade publications. Among his proudest partnerships: working with Tom Bellino's Grammy-winning Planet Arts Records on radio and press campaigns for the legendary Vanguard Jazz Orchestra — the Grammy-nominated big band that has held down its Monday-night residency at New York's Village Vanguard for over half a century. Today Blujazz specializes in digital marketing and consulting — managed Facebook ad campaigns for streaming, Google Ads for YouTube views, YouTube promotion, and Spotify playlisting — across every genre from blues to funk. He has booked and managed artists internationally.

Still performing and touring today, Greg shares four decades of hard-won industry knowledge through consulting and his blog on the realities of the music business. Throughout it all, his commitment has never wavered: organic, groove-driven music that transcends genre — making him a respected figure both on stage and behind the scenes.
