Greg Pasenko embodies the soulful intersection of American musical traditions. A Chicago-based master guitarist and compelling vocalist, Greg's musical journey began in Springfield, Illinois, where he developed a signature sound that naturally weaves together jazz sophistication, blues authenticity, and R&B groove.

His dynamic career spans performances with both jazz luminaries and blues legends. Greg has shared stages with jazz giants like Ramsey Lewis, Eddie Jefferson, and Maynard Ferguson, while also diving deep into the blues alongside Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, and as part of Phil Guy's band. His versatility extended to performances with Chuck Berry and an early collaboration with Bobby McFerrin, featuring Bobby on piano while Greg handled vocals and guitar.

Greg's musical depth shows in his work as a producer, crafting five acclaimed jazz recordings featuring artists like George Mraz, Ed Thigpen, Frank Wess, and Lew Soloff. During his time at United Artists Records in LA (while Blue Note was part of UA), he balanced industry work with performances at prestigious venues like the Whiskey, Roxy, and Troubadour, backing artists including Richie Cole and Alex Acuna.

In Chicago, Greg became a fixture at the prestigious Signature Room Jazz Club atop the John Hancock Building. His groove-based band has been featured at major Chicago events including the Taste of Chicago and Navy Pier's Beer Garden, showcasing his ability to move seamlessly between intimate jazz settings and high-energy performances.

Together with his wife, four-time DownBeat Magazine Critics Poll Rising Star violinist Diane Delin, Greg established Club Blujazz in Chicago and helped develop the Skokie Theatre, creating spaces for authentic musical expression.

As founder and president of Blujazz Label/Promotions/Booking, Greg has guided over 100 artist releases to success on national radio charts and in major trade publications. While still performing and touring internationally, he shares his extensive industry knowledge through consulting and blogging about his experiences in the music business.

Throughout his career, Greg has maintained his commitment to organic, groove-driven music that transcends traditional genre boundaries, making him a respected figure both on stage and behind the scenes in the music industry.
